Journal of Microscopy and Ultrastructure, a publication of the Saudi Society of Microscopes, is a peer-reviewed print + online Quarterly journal.

Journal of Microscopy and Ultra Structure (JMAU), the official journal of the Saudi Society of Microscopes, is an emerging interdisciplinary publishing portal focusing on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The research work will be of direct importance to the MENA region but may have originated from elsewhere across the world. It is a quarterly, open-access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes review papers, original research, brief communications, as well as thematic issues on contemporary developments in microscopy and ultrastructure.

JMAU aims at developing, stimulating and broadening the scope of innovation in the field of microscopy. It embraces original research where microscopy has significantly contributed to the knowledge in medicine, biology, life science, nanoscience and nanotechnology using the application of advanced microscopic techniques in histology, cytology, and specimen preparation.
