UGC is the regulating authority for most of the University, and there are many universities that are established within India. Some of the Universities are recognized by UGC, whereas some of them are not be identified by it.

Out of which, eleven of the Universities are here in Uttar Pradesh, which is not recognized, and such universities are known as counterfeit universities as well.

Besides this, there are around 23 universities that are not recognized by the UGC, and they are working across different regions across the country, India. There are about seven universities in Delhi, and after that, there is only a single fake University in areas like Puducherry, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.
